Nick Worthington is a music entrepreneur and senior A&R executive with decades of experience signing and developing acts with significant cultural and commercial impact.

Nick started at XL Recordings and became Head of A&R, delivering two Platinum albums from Basement Jaxx, as well as the Mercury Prize winning album from Badly Drawn Boy.

Nick subsequently launched UK Garage label Locked On, releasing hit records from Artful Dodger, Zed Bias and Wideboys.

In 2001 Nick founded 679 Recordings, a joint venture with Warner Music, releasing music from The Streets, Plan B, Mystery Jets, Marina And The Diamonds, Little Boots, The Futureheads and Kano.He also co-founded Pure Groove Publishing managing rights for artists such as Example, The Streets, Metronomy, Frank Turner and Plan B, before it was acquired by Universal Music Publishing.

In 2012 Nick became a partner in Black Butter, where he co-managed Rudimental and led the A&R division for the joint venture with Sony Music.

Nick currently works at Odd Numbers and Locked On developing new artists.
