About

The Terry College Music Business Program at the University of Georgia is dedicated to facilitating student success in the often challenging music industry landscape. Through tailored learning experiences, aspiring producers, marketers, financial analysts, and others can find their niche and pursue their career goals with confidence.

Open to all University of Georgia students, the program consists of a 21-credit-hour curriculum leading to a certificate officially recognized on UGA transcripts. Students choose from two tracks, delving into various aspects of the music industry, including the record and concert business, production, publishing and licensing, public relations and promotion, and the finance and economics of the industry.

Throughout the program, students engage with guest lecturers and influential alumni from diverse roles and locations, enhancing their understanding of the industry. A required capstone course includes internship placements within the vibrant Athens music scene, providing invaluable hands-on experience. Armed with knowledge, connections, and practical skills, graduates emerge ready to embark on successful careers in music.
