Yenta Room Recording is a boutique creative studio and production service founded by Kai (aka Good Yenta), a producer, audio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive container for queer and trans artists. With a background in experimental music and audio technology from Bennington College, and mentorship from industry legends like Steve Albini and William Parker, Kai brings a unique blend of analog sensibility and modern digital expertise to the recording process.

Primarily operating out of Top Coat Music Studio alongside a specialized home space, Yenta Room Recording offers a full spectrum of services including production, tracking, mixing, and mastering. The studio specializes in killer drum recordings, live instrumentation, and genre-expansive sound explorations ranging from hard-hitting deep cuts to post-rock meditations and free jazz. Whether working in-person or remotely, Yenta Room Recording focuses on artistic alignment and bespoke arrangements, utilizing a diverse gear list that includes Josephson and Ohma microphones, analog emulators, and Chase Bliss electronics to help artists freely express their authentic sound.
